The Alexandria Freecycle Network is open to all individuals and organizations who want to "recycle" that special something rather than throw it away. Whether it's a chair, a fax machine, piano or an old door, feel free to post it. Or maybe you're looking to acquire something yourself! One constraint: everything posted must be free, legal, and appropriate for all ages (ok, that is three constraints, I know...)
The Alexandria Jaycees (Junior Chamber) are a group of men and women who live and/or work in the Alexandria area. We are committed to helping out mankind in any way possible. One of the biggest events the Alexandria Jaycees take part in is the annual "Jingle Bells" telethon. Newcomer's is an organization for women who are new to the community. It provides the opportunity to meet new friends and learn more about the Alexandria area. Community Education publishes an adult catalog in September, January and March. We publish a monthly newsletter that is sent home with kids the last Friday of the month.
